Today on the Daily Nugget, Mike reflects on Independence Day by considering both our nation's history and the greater freedom found in Christ. America's founding was profoundly shaped by biblical ideas about human dignity, liberty, and moral responsibility, and many of the nation's early leaders recognized that a free society depends upon virtue and faith. Yet as we celebrate our nation's independence, we are reminded of an even greater freedom. Through Jesus Christ, we have been redeemed from the bondage of sin and the tyranny of Satan and transferred into the glorious kingdom of God. True freedom is not merely political—it is spiritual. Join us as we celebrate the One who purchased our freedom and made us children of His everlasting kingdom.
