Jesus came to defeat Satan and buy us back from Him!

Today on the Daily Nugget, Mike here. The Bible teaches that Jesus Christ came not only to save us from sin but also to defeat the power of Satan and the kingdom of darkness. Scripture tells us that through the cross Christ disarmed the spiritual powers and authorities and triumphed over them (Colossians 2:15), and that He appeared to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8). Because of Jesus’ victory, the enemy’s power is limited and temporary, and one day God will finally crush Satan completely (Romans 20).
